On 07/07/07, 3 of my colleagues and I headed off for the battle of annual Penang FIZ Treasure Hunt at Langkawi Island! :D . . . phew. . .
Our journey started off extremely early in the morning where the sky was still dark even before dawn. What for? Definitely for food. Food to energize our team members before we began our challenging race, plus we had to travel for almost an hour from Penang Island to Kuala Kedah Jetty in order to catch the EARLIEST ferry across to Langkawi Island.
And there we reached the starting point of the race at Langkawi's Ferry Jetty ahead of time. Since it was still early, we posted for some photographs (^o^), as well as treated ourselves each a cup of ice-blended coffee from Starbucks, hoping to stimulate our brain to be awake and think smarter!
As the race was about to begin, we were made to draw lots in determining which car we'll get for the race. And . . . deng deng deng . . . number 80 it was!
Without delay, we proceed to inspect the car's condition and were then flagged off immediately at about 9.45am. The entire race round the town was completed under blazing hot sun all the way to ending spot at Awana Porto Malai Resort's lobby. It was extremely tiring, but I did have FUN, definitely! :D
After the race, we checked in to our rooms. Well, check it out . . . the views in every angle from my room's balcony were simply glorious.
The event ended with a gathering at night for splendid dinner buffet ( I found a worm in the vege I ate!), fantastic stage-games and finally, the prize giving ceremony at resort's hall. An old saying, able to gain something is always better than nothing. Therefore, 9th placing in my first FIZ Treasure Hunt race among Agilent's 31 team wasn't bad after all. >:D<
